Penetrating Damp
Water forcing its way in from outside (through defective pointing, gutters, roof junctions or bridged cavities) shows as damp patches that grow when it rains. We trace the route in, fix the defect and make good the damage.
Real Trident jobPenetrating damp is water getting through the building fabric, commonly through failed pointing or render, leaking gutters and downpipes, defective flashings, or a bridged cavity. Unlike rising damp it can appear at any height, and unlike condensation it usually tracks back to a single building defect.
Our surveyor, who is also one of the operatives, traces the moisture to its entry point, takes readings, and specifies the repair: fix the defect first, then dry out and reinstate the damaged plaster and decorations with the right materials.
Because the surveyor has first-hand knowledge of the works, you get a specification that reflects what the job actually needs and nothing more.

Most "rising damp" we get called out to is nothing of the sort. Here is how the two problems actually behave, and why the difference matters to your wallet.
No mystery, no sales pitch. Here is exactly what a Trident survey involves, who turns up, and what the written specification you receive covers.
